George Burton

George joined TN in 2019 and works to create sustainable change across the hospital pathway through data-driven insights and on-the-ground implementation of solutions.

Focused predominantly on the acute pathway and site management, George invests time into building relationships with all levels of staff to understand client-specific issues and works closely with individuals to provide tailored solutions and strategies for operational and cultural change. He also develops analytical tools to provide insights and evidence to inform decision-making, building operational grip across the emergency pathway.

Supporting his clients through COVID-19, George has developed a keen interest in demand forecasting and capacity modelling to enable proactive planning and response to changes in bed demand for different patient cohorts.

George holds a MEng in Engineering Design from the University of Bristol. During this time, he chose to tailor his studies to focus on how technology can be utilised to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare.

Outside of work, George has had a successful sporting career, achieving gold at the junior fencing commonwealths.
